Quixie continued her leadership role as a principal / district administrator in the public-school sector. Shortly after leaving public schools, she joined Catalyst as a co-owner with Barb Taylor.

Quixie is passionate about being the voice for those who cannot advocate for themselves. She has spoken numerous times at the Colorado legislature assembly in support of increasing mental health supports and social-emotional awareness in schools. She enjoys conducting research and forging new and different paths for better educational outcomes. She wholeheartedly believes in the importance of changing lives, one student at a time.

Quixie continues to support at-risk students by her advocacy work, contracting as a researcher and an auditor. She is completing her doctorate in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis on Emotional Intelligence and Social-Emotional Learning with an anticipated graduation date of May 2023.
